Be the Change: From Brochures to Bins

Stop throwing away used brochures or pamphlets - repurpose them!

Remember those mailer marketing materials, company annual reports, and supermarket coupon pamphlets that we no longer need? Instead of tossing them into the refuse bin, why not repurpose them as wastepaper collection containers? It's both effortless and environmentally friendly, and it can even save us money by reducing the amount of trash we need to dispose of.

Here's what we need:

  • Any unneeded paper at least the size of A4 or letter
  • Any 1-litre ice-cream tub or equivalent

Simple 3-step process:

Step 1:

Position a single piece of A4 or letter-sized paper in landscape orientation.

Step 2:

Half fold either end to flush with the top of the paper. Do the same for the other end.

Step 3:

It now forms a funnel. Simply place it in the pre-loved ice-cream tub, and voila - your green trash bin is ready to collect any waste material

Environmental Impact and Benefits

This simple DIY project offers numerous environmental benefits:

  • Reduces paper waste
  • Saves trees
  • Minimizes landfill waste
  • Promotes sustainable practices
  • Conserves energy
  • Reduces carbon footprint
  • Supports corporate social responsibility

Remember, sustainability starts with small actions. By repurposing our paper waste, we're not just saving trees – we're cultivating a mindset of responsibility and resourcefulness that can ripple out into other areas of our lives and inspire others to do the same.
